Consistency Over Motivation: Keep Showing Up When You Don’t Feel Like It
Consistency Over Motivation: Keep Showing Up When You Don’t Feel Like It
Motivation isn’t going to be there every day. Some workouts will feel amazing, while others will feel like a grind from the moment you walk through the gym doors. Real progress comes from learning to stay consistent anyway. You don’t need to crush every session or hit a PR every week. Keep showing up, train with purpose, recover properly, and trust that those small efforts will eventually turn into noticeable results.

This is exactly where I’m at right now. I’m trying to stop chasing perfect workouts and just focus on staying consistent week after week.

A bad workout is still better than sitting on the couch thinking about the workout you could’ve done.

I used to think progress meant adding weight every session. Now I’m realizing that improving my form, getting enough recovery, and simply staying on schedule are wins too.

The hardest part is sometimes just getting yourself through the front door. Once I start warming up, I usually get into the zone.

Discipline has definitely become more important than motivation for me. Motivation gets you started, but having a routine is what keeps you going when life gets busy.
