Do You Prioritize Perfect Form or Progressive Overload First?
I've been paying more attention to my lifting technique lately instead of just adding weight every week I realized that when my form stays consistent I actually feel the target muscles working better and recover more easily. At the same time I don't want to stall my strength by being too cautious. For those who've been training for a while do you focus on perfecting your form before increasing the weight or do you gradually improve both at the same time??

Form always comes first for me. If I can't control the weight properly I don't add more until my technique feels solid man.

I still push progressive overload but only when I can keep the same range of motion and good form. No point in lifting heavier if every rep gets sloppy yea

Man recording my sets has helped a lot like sometimes what feels like good form isn't what the video shows so it's been a great learning tool.

One cue that helped me was treating every warm-up set like a practice set. By the time I reached my working weight my movement pattern felt locked in.

Really appreciate everyone's input. I'm going to spend more time dialing in my technique before chasing bigger numbers. It seems like that's the best path for steady progress over the long run.
