Cardio Killing Gains or Just Bro Myth?
Cardio Killing Gains or Just Bro Myth?
Been hearing this forever too much cardio kills muscle. But I see a lot of dudes staying lean year-round doing both. Where’s the balance?

Cardio doesn’t kill gains, bad programming does. If you’re doing hours of cardio and not eating enough, yeah you’ll lose size. Otherwise it’s fine.

I stay lean year-round doing like 3–4 sessions a week. Nothing crazy, just incline walking or light cycling. Strength hasn’t dropped at all.
Re: Cardio Killing Gains or Just Bro Myth?
It’s all about recovery bro. If cardio starts messing with your leg days or you’re constantly fatigued, that’s when it becomes a problem.
Re: Cardio Killing Gains or Just Bro Myth?
People forget cardio actually helps with conditioning. Better work capacity = better workouts. Just don’t overdo HIIT every day like a maniac.
Re: Cardio Killing Gains or Just Bro Myth?
I used to avoid cardio thinking I’d lose muscle… ended up just getting soft on bulk
Added some steady state and honestly look way better now.

Low intensity cardio is the move. Burns calories, helps heart health, doesn’t interfere with lifting much. No reason to skip it completely.

Yeah makes sense… sounds like it’s more about how much and how intense, not just cardio itself. Probably gonna add a few light sessions instead of avoiding it completely.

Facts OP. Start low and build up like 20–30 mins a few times a week. You’ll probably notice better endurance in your lifts too, not worse.
