Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
Scrolling reels before training sometimes gets me fired up, but other times it just feels fake. Do you guys get genuine motivation from fitness influencers or is it just noise?
Re: Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
Lowkey depends on the day bro. Sometimes I watch a crazy lift and I’m like yeah it’s go time, other days it just feels like everyone’s selling something
Re: Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
Most of it is noise tbh. Half those clips are perfect lighting, perfect pump, 20 takes. Real motivation for me comes from just showing up consistently.
Re: Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
I use it as pre-workout sometimes lol. Couple hype reels, good music, and I’m locked in. Just don’t compare yourself to it or you’ll mess your head up.
Re: Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
Yeah that’s exactly it… sometimes I feel hyped, other times I’m like why don’t I look like that yet
Re: Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
That’s the trap bro. You’re comparing your everyday look to someone’s peak moment. Nobody looks like that 24/7, not even them.
Re: Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
I follow like 2–3 dudes max now. The rest I muted. Too much content just fries your brain and kills your own focus.
Re: Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
Honestly old school bodybuilding vids hit way harder for me. Less talking, more lifting. Feels more real than these 15 sec edits.
Re: Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
Some influencers are legit tho, not gonna lie. If they actually train hard and drop useful tips, I’ll watch. But yeah… 90% is just clout chasing.
Re: Does Social Media Hype Actually Motivate You?
Best motivation is still progress in your own logbook. Add 5 lbs, hit extra reps that feeling beats any reel hype
