12 Weeks In - Progress Feels Slow but Real

Post by CAngel23 »

About three months into being consistent again. Scale hasn’t moved much, but strength and mirror say otherwise. Anyone else feel like progress shows up everywhere except the scale?

Yep, 100%. Scale barely moves for me when I’m recomposing. Strength and how clothes fit tell the real story.

That’s honestly the best kind of progress. If strength is up and the mirror looks better, the scale lagging isn’t a bad thing.

I stopped weighing myself weekly for this reason. Once I focused on lifts and pictures, progress felt way less frustrating.

Happened to me last year. Same bodyweight for months, but waist went down and shoulders filled out. Scale doesn’t know what it’s talking about sometimes.

Three months is still early too. Real visual changes sneak up on you, especially if you see yourself every day.

Strength gains usually show up before physique changes for me. The mirror always catches up later.

Honestly sounds like you’re doing it right. Slow, boring progress usually beats fast, sloppy changes.

If your lifts are going up and you’re not getting fluffier, I’d call that a win even if the scale is stubborn.

I track waist, morning weight average, and gym performance now. Single scale readings messed with my head too much.
