Leg Day Wrecked Me Again - Normal Soreness or Doing Too Much?
Every time I hit legs heavy, I’m limping for like 3 days straight
. Quads feel cooked, stairs are a nightmare. Is this just standard leg day pain or a sign I’m pushing past recovery? Curious how long y’all usually stay sore after a hard lower session.

Bro, if you can walk normal the next day, did you even train legs?
Totally normal if you’re pushing volume or doing new movements. DOMS hits hardest when you switch things up.

Yeah 2–3 days of soreness is pretty common, especially after squats or lunges. As your body adapts, it won’t hit that bad every week.

If it’s lasting longer than 4 days consistently, might be too much volume or not enough recovery sleep, protein, hydration, all that stuff matters too.

Yeah, I probably went too hard on hack squats this week. Also skipped stretching, which probably didn’t help

Stretching and foam rolling after helps a ton. Or even light cardio the next day keeps blood moving, clears that soreness faster.

DOMS doesn’t always mean growth, bro. It just means muscle damage. If you’re always that sore, you might be killing recovery instead of helping gains.

Facts. Hit them with solid intensity but don’t murder yourself every time. You’ll still grow once you build consistency.

Got it. I’ll dial the volume back a bit and focus more on form. Guess I was chasing that “death by squats” feeling too much

We’ve all been there, man. That first couple months of heavy leg days is rough. Once your body adjusts, soreness drops but strength climbs that’s when it gets fun.
