The biggest thing for me is controlling adrenaline. I want to feel fired up when I step onto the platform, but I don’t want to spend three hours before my lift pacing around and wasting that energy. I stay pretty quiet, listen to music, eat on schedule, and save the aggression for when the bar is actually loaded. 💪

I keep my pre-lift routine exactly the same every attempt: headphones, breathe, visualize the first few seconds, then go. It gives me something familiar to lock onto when everything around me is chaotic.

Sleep the night before, familiar breakfast, plenty of time at the venue, and zero unnecessary drama. That’s my whole strategy. 😂

That “save the aggression for the platform” part is huge. I’ve definitely wasted energy getting too amped up way before my flight started. Now I’d rather stay calm and let the intensity show up when I actually need it. 🏋️‍♂️

I also like doing a quick mental reset after every attempt. Whether I smoked the lift or barely got it, I give myself a minute, review what happened, and then move on. No celebrating too early and no beating myself up after a miss. The next attempt still needs a fresh head.

My routine is basically: show up early, know my flight, eat what I know works, warm up on schedule, and stay in my lane. Simple stuff wins meets more often than trying to be a superhero. 🔥

I bring way more food and water than I think I’ll need. Meet days can run forever, and being hungry or dehydrated while waiting for your next lift is an easy way to mess with your focus.

For me, the real lock-in happens when I stop thinking about the total and just treat each attempt like its own job. First lift: execute. Reset. Second lift: execute. Reset. Third lift: go after it. Once I started thinking that way, meet days became way less chaotic and a lot more fun. 💪🔥
