I used to think cardio had to mean running or hitting the stairmaster, but walking changed my perspective. It’s simple, low impact, and easy to stay consistent with even when training gets tough.

The recovery side is what really sells me on it. If I’m already pushing squats, deadlifts, and other heavy movements, I don’t necessarily need another high-intensity session just to increase my activity. Walking gives me a way to stay moving without feeling like I’m constantly adding more training stress.

Walking is definitely part of my routine now.

Same here. I’m starting to think the goal shouldn’t always be finding another brutal cardio session. If I can lift hard, recover properly, stay active throughout the day, and consistently get my steps in, that feels like a much more sustainable setup. Sometimes the boring stuff is what actually keeps the whole routine working long term.
