How Do You Actually Hit Your Protein Goal Every Day? 🥩🍳

I've been trying to get more consistent with my protein intake without turning every meal into chicken and rice. During the week, it's pretty easy when I meal prep, but weekends and busy workdays are where I struggle.
Right now I'm rotating eggs, Greek yogurt, chicken, lean ground beef, tuna, cottage cheese, and protein shakes. I also try to prep a couple of meals ahead so I'm not grabbing fast food when I'm short on time.
For those of you who lift regularly, what's your go-to way of hitting your protein target without spending a ton of money or cooking all day?

Greek yogurt and eggs carry me 😂

Meal prep is honestly the biggest thing for me. I'll cook a big batch of chicken or ground turkey, make rice or potatoes, throw some vegetables in, and portion everything out for the next few days. If the food is already sitting in the fridge, I'm way less likely to order takeout after work.

Protein shakes are my backup, not my entire diet. If I'm running late in the morning, I'll blend whey with milk, banana, oats, and peanut butter. Takes about two minutes and keeps me full until lunch.

Cottage cheese before bed has become my thing. I wasn't a fan at first, but with berries and a little honey it's actually pretty good.

I don't really count every gram anymore. I just make sure every main meal has a solid protein source and then use a shake or Greek yogurt if I'm short at the end of the day. It's much easier to stick with long term.

That's basically what I'm trying to move toward. I used to think I had to weigh every ingredient forever, but having a few reliable high-protein meals makes staying consistent way easier.

Budget-wise, eggs, canned tuna, chicken thighs, ground turkey, beans, milk, and Greek yogurt are some of my staples. I used to spend way too much on "fitness food" when regular grocery-store stuff worked just fine.

My biggest problem isn't knowing what to eat; it's actually planning ahead. If I don't have lunch ready, I'll get something near the office, and suddenly a meal that should've been $8 turns into a $20 takeout order.

I keep it simple during the work week: breakfast is usually eggs and toast or Greek yogurt with fruit, lunch is meal-prepped chicken or beef with rice and vegetables, and dinner depends on what I feel like cooking. Then I'll use whey when I need an easy protein boost. Nothing fancy, but I've been able to stick with it for months.
