Friday off-topic fun - what's in your ears when you train? Looking for new playlists and podcasts to freshen up my sessions. Mine's the same three playlists on rotation and I'm bored. Hit me with recommendations.

Heavy stuff for heavy lifts - metal and hard rock for me. Nothing moves a max single like the right riff. For accessory work or cardio I switch to something lighter. Match the music to the intensity.

Hip-hop and high-energy rap for the main lifts. Honestly a good pre-lift song does more for my top set than any pre-workout. The right beat and I'm locked in instantly.

Podcasts for steady cardio and walks - can't focus on them during heavy lifts but they make the dull conditioning fly by. Mix of fitness and totally unrelated stuff so it doesn't feel like homework.

On low-motivation days I'll put on a hype/mindset podcast on the way to the gym to get my head right, then switch to music once I'm lifting. The pre-session mental priming genuinely helps me show up.

I'll just second that a fresh playlist is a stupidly effective motivation reset. When training feels stale, new music alone can make me look forward to a session again. Cheap and effective.

Metal for the heavy stuff, hip-hop to lock in, podcasts for cardio, hype pod on low days, and refresh the playlist often. Loads to try here, cheers everyone - happy lifting.
