Curious one for the off-topic crowd: what's a habit that has nothing directly to do with lifting but noticeably improved your training? Trying to find the indirect wins. I'll go first - meal prepping on Sundays.

Going to bed at the same time every night. Boring, but a consistent sleep schedule improved my recovery, my mood and my gym performance more than any supplement or program tweak ever did. Sleep is a training input.

Walking. Just daily walks - for steps, stress, and headspace. It keeps me lean, helps recovery, and the mental reset makes me more consistent in the gym. Criminally underrated for lifters.

Journaling/planning the night before. Five minutes writing down tomorrow's session and meals means I wake up with a plan and zero decision fatigue. Spills straight into training consistency.

Cutting my evening screen time. Less phone before bed = better sleep = better training. The doomscroll was quietly wrecking my recovery and I didn't connect it until I stopped.

Drinking enough water through the day. Sounds trivial but proper hydration improved my energy, my pumps and my focus under the bar. I was chronically a bit dehydrated and didn't realise how much it was costing me.

Brilliant answers - sleep schedule, walking, planning, less screen time, hydration. Funny how the biggest gym wins happen outside the gym. Thanks all, stealing several of these.
