We all know 'sleep more' but what specifically improved your recovery and lifts? Looking for the practical stuff that actually made a difference, not just 'get 8 hours'.

A consistent sleep and wake time, even weekends. Going to bed at the same hour did more for my recovery than chasing a total hours number. The regularity is underrated.

Cutting screens and a hard caffeine cutoff. No caffeine after about 2pm and phone out of the room. My sleep quality jumped and so did my training the next day.

Protein before bed and not training too late. Late hard sessions used to wire me. Moving my workout earlier and having a slow-protein snack (Greek yogurt/cottage cheese) helped me drop off faster.

The late-training-keeping-you-wired thing is real for me too.

A cooler, darker room. Blackout curtains and dropping the thermostat a couple degrees was a stupidly cheap fix that genuinely improved my deep sleep and how I felt under the bar.

All of these stack. Consistent times, caffeine cutoff, cool dark room, earlier training, protein before bed. None are revolutionary alone but together they're the difference between recovering and just surviving.
