Been feeling sluggish lately even though I’m sleeping and eating decently. Not sure if I’m actually overtrained or just low energy. How do you guys spot the difference?

If you dread going to the gym and lifts are dropping every week, that’s overtraining.

Sometimes it’s just mental burnout though. I take a 3–4 day deload and usually feel like a beast after.

Yeah, my strength’s been stuck for a while and my motivation’s tanked. Maybe time for a deload week.

That’s exactly what you need. Drop intensity, keep the movement, focus on recovery you’ll come back stronger.

Heart rate’s a good indicator. If your resting HR is higher than normal, your body’s probably not fully recovered.

I used to think overtraining was fake until I hit a wall. Took 2 weeks off and strength shot back up.

Yeah, I hate taking time off but maybe it’s what I need. I’ll back off intensity for a bit.

Good move. Overtraining isn’t just physical, it kills your motivation too.
