I’ve been running high-bar for years but keep hearing that low-bar is the way to go for powerlifting. Is the strength carryover that big, or does it just come down to preference?

Low bar is king for moving max weight. Better leverage, shorter ROM.

High-bar builds quads and transfers well, but if you compete, low-bar usually wins.

Depends on your leverages. If you’ve got long femurs, low bars feel way more natural.

Don’t ditch high bar completely. It’s awesome for building raw leg strength. Use both.

I alternate blocks. One block low-bar heavy, one block high-bar volume. Best of both worlds.

If you’re new to low bar, start light. The bar position torches your rear delts at first.

I PR’d my low-bar after a year of only high-bar. Carryover was crazy.
