Push/Pull/Legs - Still the Best Split?

I’ve been running a push/pull/legs setup for months now and like the frequency, but I’m curious if I’d make better gains with something like an upper/lower split. For those who’ve tried both, which gave you more size and strength?

PPL is solid, man. I ran it for almost a year and put on good size. The only downside is sometimes recovery lags if you go too heavy back-to-back.

Upper/lower feels cleaner for me. Four days a week, more rest between muscle groups, but still enough volume. Strength numbers climbed faster on that.

Yeah that’s kind of what I was thinking… PPL gives me more frequency, but sometimes I’m sure as hell rolling into the next day.

If you’ve got time for 6 days a week, PPL wins. If you can only train 4–5, upper/lower is king. Simple as that.

Bro split, PPL, upper/lower they all work if you’re consistent. I just like PPL cause it keeps me in the gym more often.

I switched from PPL to upper/lower recently. Less burnout, better recovery, and I’m still growing. Don’t overthink your diet and effort matter more.

Solid point. I probably should stop stressing which is “perfect” and just pick what keeps me locked in long term.

Upper/lower lets you push harder per workout. PPL sometimes feels like you’re rushing through to hit everything. Quality > quantity.

I love PPL, but I turn the 6-day into 5-day with an extra rest. Push, pull, legs, rest, repeat. It feels balanced without frying me.
