Diet & Meal Plans How Do You Set Your Macros?

I used to overcomplicate meal planning by worrying about every little detail. Over time I found it easier to start with my calorie goal, make protein a priority then adjust carbs and fats based on my training and preferences. I also leave some flexibility in my meals so the diet doesn’t feel impossible to follow. For me consistency matters much more than having a perfect macro split every day.

Protein is the first thing I set. Once that’s covered I adjust the rest around my calories.

I keep more carbs around training because I feel better during hard sessions that way.

I don’t stress about hitting exact numbers every single day weekly consistency works better for me.

Fats were too low in one of my diets before I feel much better with a reasonable amount included

Meal prep makes hitting macros much easier I’m less likely to grab random food when everything is ready.

I adjust portions based on progress rather than changing the whole diet every week.

Finding foods I actually enjoy was the biggest improvement a diet I hate isn’t going to last.
