💪 The Weekend Warrior Challenge: Strength, Sweat & Stamina

Weekends are usually when people either go all-in at the gym or completely take their foot off the gas.

So I’m thinking about turning one weekend session into a Weekend Warrior Challenge that tests strength, conditioning, and stamina without completely wrecking you for Monday.
I’m picturing a mix of heavy compounds, some AMRAP/HIIT-style conditioning, and a cardio finisher. Nothing that requires superhero recovery—just a solid challenge where you can push yourself and actually track your performance.

If you were building your own Weekend Warrior workout, what would make the cut? Heavy lifting, conditioning, cardio, or a little bit of everything?

I’d keep it simple. Squats, pull-ups, push-ups, and a short run.

Give me deadlifts and bench first, then a 10-minute AMRAP. Heavy compounds plus conditioning is a pretty solid weekend combo without turning the whole thing into a marathon.

I’d go full conditioning mode. Kettlebell swings, burpees, box jumps, rowing intervals, and maybe some sled pushes.

I want to finish completely smoked but still feeling like I got a productive workout instead of just randomly suffering.

I like that approach. The goal is definitely to get a good sweat without making Monday morning feel like a punishment.

Farmer carries have to be in there. Grip, core, legs, and conditioning all at once.

I’d probably hit a 5x5 strength block first, then do a short conditioning finisher. Something like squats followed by sled pushes and assault bike intervals would be nasty but effective.

Partner workout all day. One person works while the other catches their breath, then switch. Add some rowing, goblet squats, push-ups, and walking lunges and you’ve got yourself a legit weekend grinder.

A partner version would actually be sick. Having somebody next to you makes those last few rounds way easier to push through, especially when the legs are already cooked.

Mile run after lifting. Old-school and brutal.
