I used to think bulking meant eating as much as possible but meal prepping helped me make the process much more controlled. Instead of guessing what I'd eat every day I started preparing most of my meals ahead of time I aim for a moderate calorie surplus rather than forcing huge meals. For
protein a practical target for many lifters is around 1.6–2.2 g per kg of body weight per day I split that across 3–5 meals instead of trying to get everything in at once. Carbs are a big part of my meals because they make training feel much better i also keep fats in the diet rather than trying to make everything ultra-low-fat.
Meal Prep Option 1: chicken + rice + vegetables + olive oil portioned into several containers.
Meal Prep Option 2: oats + Greek yogurt + fruit + nuts for an easy breakfast/snack.
I keep eggs, fruit, yogurt, rice, potatoes, chicken and lean ground meat around because they're easy to mix and match if my weight isn't moving after a couple of weeks I make a small calorie adjustment rather than suddenly eating everything andd i also track body weight regularly and look at the weekly trend instead of stressing about daily changes. The biggest benefit of meal prep for me isn't just hitting calories its making good food the convenient option. What are your go-to bulk meals that you can prepare without spending your entire Sunday in the kitchen?

Chicken, rice and frozen vegetables are my bulk staples.
Cheap, easy and I can make a huge batch at once. Definitely beats cooking from scratch every night.

Overnight oats have been a lifesaver for me Oats, Greek yogurt, milk, banana and peanut butter. Easy calories without feeling like I'm forcing another giant meal.

Great point about using a moderate surplus I used to jump calories way too quickly and just ended up gaining unnecessary fat. Slower progress has been much easier to manage.

The weekly weight trend tip is underrated My weight can change a lot from one day to another just from water and food looking at the average gives a much better picture.

Greek yogurt and fruit is my favorite quick meal.

Takes about two minutes and gives me a decent protein hit without much cooking literally saves much time

I started freezing individual portions of cooked meals. Makes busy days way easier because there's always something ready.
Definitely helped me stay consistent.

I appreciate that you mentioned fats too people sometimes make bulking unnecessarily complicated by only thinking about protein and carbs A balanced diet is much easier to maintain.

My easy dinner is potatoes

lean beef

& vegetables

I can change the seasoning each time and it feels like a completely different meal.
