Honestly, consistency matters more for me than finding the “perfect” macro split. When I eat enough, hydrate, and get decent sleep, my workouts are way better.

I’m also trying to stop making my diet unnecessarily complicated. 😂 My current approach is protein with every meal, more carbs on hard training days, and enough healthy fats to keep meals satisfying. It feels much easier to maintain than constantly changing my macros.

I’m a morning lifter, so I don’t eat a huge meal beforehand. Banana + whey or Greek yogurt, then a proper breakfast after training with eggs, oats, and fruit. Works really well for me.

When I’m trying to gain, I increase carbs first because they help me push harder in the gym. During a cut, I keep protein high and reduce calories gradually instead of slashing everything at once.

My biggest mistake used to be going super high protein while barely eating carbs or fats. I looked at the scale and thought I was “eating clean,” but my workouts were trash. Balanced meals have been much better for performance. 😅

I don’t think there’s one magic ratio that works for everybody. If someone is lifting 4–5 days a week, doing cardio, working a physical job, and trying to recover, their needs are going to look different from someone training twice a week. I’d rather build the diet around the person and their training than force everyone into the same numbers. 🥩🍚🥑

Carbs before lifting, protein after, and healthy fats spread throughout the day. Simple and works for me. 💪

I keep protein steady and let my carbs go higher on hard training days. 🏋️‍♂️
