I swear by a good cooldown now.
Nothing complicated—some easy movement, breathing, and a little stretching. It helps me mentally transition out of workout mode too.

Re: What's One Recovery Tip Every Fitness Enthusiast Should Know?
My biggest recovery tip is to stop chasing soreness as proof that a workout was good. Some of my best sessions don't leave me destroyed the next day. I focus more on performance, good technique, and whether I'm recovering well enough to train again.

That's such a good point. I've definitely had the mindset that if I wasn't sore, I didn't work hard enough. I'm starting to realize that being able to show up strong for the next session is probably a much better measure of progress.

I pay attention to sleep, food, hydration, and stress before deciding whether to push hard in the gym. If all four are solid, I usually feel ready to train. If I'm running on five hours of sleep and barely ate all day, that's probably not the time to force a PR.

Rest days are non-negotiable for me now. I used to feel guilty taking them, but my joints feel better and I actually look forward to training more when I give myself time away from the weights.

For me, recovery is about consistency rather than one magic trick. I prioritize quality sleep, enough protein, hydration, mobility, warm-ups, reasonable training volume, and planned rest. I also pay attention to unusual pain instead of automatically pushing through it. Those basics aren't flashy, but they've helped me stay active and avoid the stop-start cycle of getting hurt, recovering, and starting over.
