Have You Changed Your Workout Split Recently? What Happened? 🏋️♂️🔥
Re: Have You Changed Your Workout Split Recently? What Happened? 🏋️♂️🔥
I'm still running PPL, but I changed the order of my exercises and reduced some isolation work. My workouts are shorter, my main lifts get more attention, and I'm not leaving the gym completely fried every night. Sometimes you don't need a whole new split—you just need a smarter setup.

Moved to full body three days a week, and I'm loving the extra flexibility.

I switched from five days to four because my recovery was falling behind my training. I kept the important compound lifts, trimmed a few accessory sets, and started getting more consistent with sleep. My workouts feel better now, and I'm making progress without living at the gym.

Upper/lower has been my favorite so far because I can train hard, recover properly, and still have a life outside the gym. I'm not chasing the perfect split anymore; I just want something I can run consistently for months and progressively overload.

I learned that switching splits won't magically fix everything. I kept changing routines whenever progress slowed, but sticking with one program, tracking my lifts, and managing fatigue made the biggest difference. Now I only change things when my schedule, recovery, or goals actually call for it.
