I used to skip cardio completely because I thought it would interfere with gains, but adding two easy conditioning sessions changed that. I recover better between sets now and don’t feel as beat up after high-volume workouts.

I’m team conditioning for everyday life. Stamina matters. 🏃‍♂️

Strength gets my vote, especially if you enjoy progressive overload and compound lifts. There’s something satisfying about adding five pounds to a lift you struggled with a few months ago, while conditioning can keep you from turning into a strong but totally gassed lifter.

That’s probably the sweet spot—have one main goal, but don’t let the other become your weak link. I’d rather be strong with a decent engine than insanely strong and exhausted from walking across the parking lot. 😂

Hybrid training is the move for me. Heavy lifting plus some conditioning keeps things interesting.

Still team strength. Watching the PRs climb never gets old. 🔥

Conditioning is clutch when the workout gets long. Better work capacity means I can push harder without needing five minutes between every set.

I think the answer depends on what you actually want from the gym. If you’re chasing a powerlifting total, strength obviously runs the show, but if you want that athletic, well-rounded fitness, conditioning needs a bigger role.

Strength first, conditioning second. That combo keeps me progressing without feeling like I’m only training for one thing.
