🏋️ Strong but Beat Up? Could Your Lifting Technique Be the Missing Piece?
Re: 🏋️ Strong but Beat Up? Could Your Lifting Technique Be the Missing Piece?
Exactly. I’m starting to look at technique as part of progression instead of something separate from strength. If I can use more weight while keeping the same solid movement pattern, that feels like real progress—not just getting a heavier number on the bar.

Sometimes the best PR is making the same weight look cleaner.

Facts. I’ve had workouts where I added zero pounds but walked out feeling like I made more progress because every rep was locked in.

Heavy lifting will always have some fatigue and discomfort, but constantly beating up your joints shouldn’t be the goal. Dialing in your setup, controlling the eccentric, using a range of motion you can actually own, and leaving a little room before technique completely breaks down can keep you training hard without feeling wrecked every session.

Strong is cool, but strong and able to train consistently is the real goal.
