Full Body is my pick for anyone who has a busy schedule but still wants to build muscle. Three well-planned sessions can get a lot done when you focus on progressive overload and don’t waste time scrolling between sets.

I’ve been using Upper/Lower for strength and size, and the consistency is what stands out. I can track my lifts, manage fatigue, and still get my weekend activities in without feeling like I need to recover from six straight days of training. The split isn’t flashy, but it’s been practical for my goals.

I think that’s an important point: the best split has to fit your actual life. A six-day PPL routine might be great for someone with plenty of time, while a three-day Full Body plan could be the better fit for somebody working long hours. I’m more interested in long-term progress than simply adding more days to my training schedule.

I’m back on PPL after running Upper/Lower for a while, and I love the extra focus on each session. My recovery is better when I manage my sets instead of chasing failure on everything.

Full Body has been working really well for me during a lean bulk. I’m training three days a week, keeping the main lifts consistent, and using accessories to bring up weaker areas. It’s simple, but I’m seeing progress without needing to spend two hours in the gym every day.

Upper/Lower gets my vote for the balance. Four lifting days, two potential rest or cardio days, and enough room to adjust when life gets busy. I think people sometimes overcomplicate their programming when they could benefit from sticking with a solid routine and tracking their lifts for a few months.

I’ve tried all three, and the biggest lesson for me was that consistency beats constantly chasing the next program. If you’re getting stronger, recovering well, and enjoying your training, you’re probably on the right track.
