A power rack gives me more confidence when lifting heavy, especially with safety arms and a proper bench setup. I also like keeping my workouts simple and tracking strength over time. A cable attachment can always be added later.

I'd focus on the exercises you actually perform every week instead of buying based on the number of features. An all-in-one trainer can be convenient, but a power rack may offer more flexibility for heavy strength work. The best equipment is something that fits your routine and doesn't become an expensive clothes hanger. 🔥

That's a good point about buying for your real routine. I'm trying to think beyond the excitement of setting up a new gym and focus on what I'll still enjoy using years from now. Convenience matters, but so does getting equipment that fits my goals.

I'd rather buy quality basics than rush into a massive setup. 💪

For a mix of strength and bodybuilding, both options have their advantages. A rack covers the big lifts, while an all-in-one trainer adds convenient cable work. If I had to choose one, I'd compare the equipment to my actual training split first.

I'd also pay attention to how smooth the cables feel, how easy the adjustments are, and whether the equipment stays stable during hard sets. A machine can look impressive online, but the everyday workout experience matters more. I'd rather own a setup that feels solid and gets used consistently than one packed with features I rarely touch. 🏠

The best home gym is the one you actually use consistently. 🏋️‍♂️🔥
