I think there’s something to be said for combining both goals. You can still push hard for muscle growth while keeping an eye on your waist, conditioning, and weak points. Once you start looking at your physique as a whole instead of chasing one body part, your training decisions become a lot more intentional.

Yeah, I’ve definitely started thinking more about the complete picture. A bigger chest or bigger arms are cool, but if the shoulders, back, legs, and waist don’t complement them, the physique can still look unfinished.

Size is fun, but aesthetics keep me motivated. Seeing the V-taper get sharper after months of work hits different.

I’m trying to build enough overall mass to look genuinely muscular while keeping the proportions clean. I don’t want to stop growing, but I also don’t want every bulk to push me farther away from the shape I’m actually trying to achieve. For the next couple years, I’m focusing on bringing up my weak points while keeping my conditioning under control. What’s the one body part you think makes the biggest difference to an aesthetic physique?
