Has Consistency Become More Important to You Than Motivation? 💪
Re: Has Consistency Become More Important to You Than Motivation? 💪
My schedule basically decides for me now. I have certain days and times where I train, so there’s way less mental debate involved.

The biggest change for me was realizing that I don’t need to “earn” the right to have an easy workout. Some days I’ll go in, hit the main lifts, get a pump, and leave. That still counts.

Life is always going to throw something at you—work, travel, bad sleep, family stuff, whatever. If your plan only works when everything is perfect, it’s not really a sustainable plan.

I still love getting motivated by a good playlist or seeing somebody crush a PR, but I don’t depend on that anymore. The goal now is to be the person who trains even when nobody is watching and there’s zero excitement around it.

Absolutely.
Consistency has taught me that progress is usually built on the days when you don’t feel like training. You don’t have to crush every workout; you just have to keep showing up, adjust when life gets crazy, and avoid turning one missed session into a missed month. That mindset has made my training way more sustainable.
