Being flexible doesn’t mean much if you can’t control that range under load, so I’ve started prioritizing controlled reps and full comfortable ROM during my actual workouts.

I’m one of those people who gets absolutely destroyed by high-stim pre-workouts, so I stopped using them.

A small coffee, some water, and a little fruit before training works much better for me. I get enough energy to attack the workout without the shaky hands, racing heart, or feeling like I need to pace around the parking lot before my first set.

That’s exactly where I’m at now. I’d rather improve gradually than force a stretch just because it looks impressive. Training should leave me feeling prepared to lift, not beat up before the workout even starts.

Ankle mobility changed my squats.

I’ve been doing banded shoulder work before pressing, and my shoulders feel much more prepared when I get into heavier sets.

For me, the sweet spot is dynamic mobility before lifting, full comfortable ROM during training, and some static stretching afterward when I actually need it. I’m not trying to turn my gym sessions into yoga classes—I just want to keep moving well enough to train hard for years.

A little mobility every day has worked better for me than one massive session once a week.

100%. I’m realizing the best routine is the one that’s simple enough to repeat and actually helps my lifting. Ten focused minutes beats an hour-long routine I’ll abandon after two weeks.
