Sometimes you don’t need motivation—you need your gym shoes on.

I was ready to skip after getting stuck in traffic for almost an hour, but I figured I’d already wasted enough time sitting in the car. Walked in late, did a quick upper-body session, and honestly felt proud that I didn’t let the day completely derail me.

This is why I’ve started treating “showing up” as the win. Not every workout needs to be insane. Some days, getting a decent session done when you really didn’t want to is the biggest victory.

I almost skipped leg day because I was sore, but I went in and just did a lighter session. Sometimes adjusting the workout is better than abandoning it completely.

My comeback story is basically me arguing with myself in the parking lot for 10 minutes… then finally walking inside.

Once I started warming up, I was locked in.

The workouts I almost skip usually end up being the ones I’m happiest I did. Consistency > motivation.
