Re: Favourite training music or podcasts to get you through a tough session?
I'll just second that a fresh playlist is a stupidly effective motivation reset. When training feels stale, new music alone can make me look forward to a session again. Cheap and effective.

Re: June plank challenge recap - how did everyone do?
Started at a pathetic 20 seconds, got to 90. Tripled it and actually have abs that do something now. Simple, free, effective - love these no-equipment challenges.

Re: From 'never lifted' to first bodyweight bench - 9 month update
This is exactly the motivation I needed today - I'm two months in and bench feels stuck at the bar plus a bit. Knowing you started from literal zero helps.

Did it - absolutely cooked. Total: 72. My chest is done. Great way to train at home with zero gear.

Re: What got you into lifting in the first place? Share your origin story
Honestly? Got tired of being the skinny kid who felt invisible. Wanted to feel strong and take up some space in the world. Two years in and it's changed how I carry myself way more than how I look.

Re: Adjustable dumbbells vs a full dumbbell rack for a small home gym?
Budget angle: a good pair of adjustables is cheaper upfront than a full rack of fixed dumbbells covering the same range. For a beginner-to-intermediate home setup it's the obvious value pick. Get the rack later if you ever need it.

Joining. As a beginner this is perfect - forget optimal, just build the habit of showing up. Day 1 done, even though I only had 30 minutes.

Perfect, that's the clarity I needed. Starting at the low end and progressing load. Thanks everyone.

How do I know when to add the volume vs add weight?

That makes sense, I was about to program like 25 sets a muscle.
